UNITE-LA's Youth at Work (LAYAW) program alleviates the hiring burden by diversifying and broadening your candidate pool.

We collaborate with local youth centers, high schools and colleges to refer candidates who are knowledgeable, talented and eager to contribute to the success of your company.

As the private business liaison for Mayor Eric Garcetti’s HIRE L.A.’s Youth initiative, the LAYAW program not only connects young adults, ages 16 to 24, with employers, but also prepares them for the workplace through career preparation and a regionally recognized work readiness program. This means your next candidate will be ready to support your company from day one.

 

PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME POSITIONS

LAYAW prepares youth for the workplace and works with employers to refer candidates and make appropriate youth/employer matches.

INTERNSHIPS

LAYAW aids in developing and supporting employers’ internship programs throughout the employment experience and over time.

SPONSORSHIPS

Not currently hiring or don't have paid internship opportunities? Consider sponsoring an intern with a donation of $2,500.

LAYAW will recognize your company’s contribution and offer a subsidized internship with a local business partner.
